Whether a wind storm in Spokane or a fire storm in Canyon Creek, credit unions are known for their quick and generous support of disaster relief efforts. NWCUF is able to respond to disasters because of credit unions’ commitment to the People Helping People philosophy. In fact, in 2015 the NWCUF led six separate relief efforts, raising over $100,000 to support the communities around us.

Hurricanes Harvey, Irma & Maria

As soon as news of Hurricane Harvey’s devastation was released, credit unions stepped up to support victims of the storm. Since that time, Northwest credit unions have donated more than $75,000 to support hurricane relief efforts.

You can donate to national hurricane relief efforts through the National Credit Union Foundation’s CUAID.COOP page.
