Whether a wind storm in Spokane or a fire storm in Canyon Creek, credit unions are known for their quick and generous support of disaster relief efforts. NWCUF is able to respond to disasters because of credit unions’ commitment to the People Helping People philosophy. In fact, in 2015 the NWCUF led six separate relief efforts, raising over $100,000 to support the communities around us.
Contribute to an Active Relief Effort
Wildfires are damaging communities across Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Please join us in donating funds to help. The Northwest Credit Union Foundation will match every donation made through our website dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000. Donations made to the NWCUF will go toward helping Northwest communities affected by the wildfires. Credit union members and employees impacted by the fires can contact Sharee Adkins, your Foundation’s AVP & Managing Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about how we can help.
Hurricanes Harvey & Irma
As soon as news of Hurricane Harvey’s devastation was released, credit unions stepped up to support victims of the storm. Northwest credit unions have donated more than $75,000 to support Harvey relief efforts already.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Irma has collided with communities in Florida. The Northwest Credit Union Foundation committed $5,000 to Hurricane Harvey disaster relief, and we are now committing an additional $5,000 to aid those impacted by Hurricane Irma. You can donate to national hurricane relief efforts through the National Credit Union Foundation’s CUAID.COOP page.
