Biz Kid$ Toolkit |
The Northwest Credit Union Foundation is excited to offer the Biz Kid$ program for credit unions partnering with educators across the Northwest to offer financial literacy curriculum. The program has been adapted to be flexible and accessible for multiple settings and learning environments.
NWCUF has created a toolkit for credit unions to utilize as they partner with schools in providing Biz Kid$ content. The toolkit includes Biz Kid$ episodes and lesson plans for both middle school and high school-based curriculum, games, business plan resources and more. Lessons have been selected to encompass important financial education topics including budgeting, credit, saving, and entrepreneurship.
Lesson plans and the accompanying activities are excellent resources for teachers, but we also encourage credit unions to work with their teacher partners to find fun and creative ways to engage students with the content. Teachers can use the curriculum and resources to best fit the needs of their classroom.
Both curriculum tracks include an optional Business Extension of four additional episodes and lesson plans selected to prepare students to develop their own business idea and participate in a classroom business competition.
For any questions regarding Biz Kid$, please reach out to NWCUF Program and Development Coordinator, Maija Noll at 503.333.2695 or by email.
