Supporting financial literacy and capability to achieve prosperity |
Throughout the Northwest, credit unions are helping their communities by providing financial education, innovative products and services that meet the evolving needs of rural members, guidance on saving for and affording higher education, and assistance when disaster strikes. The Northwest Credit Union Foundation is proud to partner with credit unions who provide these important programs and services. We convene local and regional stakeholders to promote efforts that help under-served and vulnerable communities work toward self-sufficiency and financial security.
Credit unions partner with the Foundation to provide Financial Reality Fairs to high school students in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington with the skills they need to make smart budgeting and spending decisions in the future, setting them up for success.
Through this initiative, NWCUF supports with credit unions in pursuing innovative ideas and projects that provide rural communities with access to the financial products and services they need to truly thrive.
When disaster strikes, whether it be in the Northwest or elsewhere, we partner with credit unions to provide disaster relief funds so that community members can get back on their feet.
